A puddle flanged pipe is a type of pipe that is used to pass through a wall or a structure and prevent water from leaking through the opening. It has a flange attached to one end of the pipe which is designed to be bolted onto the structure. The other end of the pipe is usually plain-ended and is connected to the rest of the pipeline.
The purpose of a puddle flanged pipe is to create a watertight seal between the pipe and the structure it passes through. The flange is positioned on the outside of the structure, and a layer of waterproof material such as bitumen or mastic is applied around the opening. The pipe is then inserted through the opening and secured to the structure using bolts.
Puddle flanged pipes are commonly used in water and sewage systems where pipes need to pass through walls or other structures. They are also used in the construction of tunnels and underground structures where watertight seals are necessary.
Standards for Flange: ISO 7005-2 or EN 1092-2.
